Honors for Surly Five, Pentagram to Return

Here’s a great nod to Surly Brewing Company and Five from Jessica Fender and the Denver Post following the Boulder Strong Ale Fest. Congrats!

Once your faithful First Drafts correspondents recovered from our weekend trek to the 2012 Boulder Strong Ale Fest and compared notes, there was one beer that kept popping up at the tops of our “best of fest” lists: Surly Five.

And welcome back…

“We are set to release a similar beer this summer that hopefully will become an annual summer bottle release for us,” Haug said. The tentatively named “Pentagram” will also be 100 percent Brett fermented and aged in red wine barrels. “And either Five or Pentagram will be back in Colorado for GABF.”
