Ein Update von der Brau Brothers

Here’s an update from the Brothers Brau.

Just wanted to drop a line and let everyone know whats going on at the brewery.

First, thanks for the great response to MooJoos and Bancreagie!  And thanks for being patient.  We’re in the process of ramping up production in order to maximize our capacity.  We hope to never catch up, but we also hope to make more beer in the near future.  Our next seasonal has taken up quite a bit of our capacity.  It’s very different than anything we’ve brewed in the passed, and we’re really excited to introduce and drink it.  The bulk has been brewed, but it will need a few weeks bottle-conditioning.  Details to follow soon.

Couple of events coming up that we’re excited about: Tomorrow night (Thursday March 24) I’ll be up in Minneapolis drinking beer with my TC friends at Common Roots.  If you’ve never been there, I highly recommend it!  This is as good a reason as any to check it out.  I should be set up and pouring about 7pm and I’ll be bringing some special beers, Rubus Black Blackberry Imperial Porter, MooJoos Oatmeal Milk Stout, Sheephead Ale, and a quarter barrel (the only one that will make it to the cities!) of Brau Bros’ Imperial Black Ale.  These guys really support local breweries, and it’s much appreciated.

Also, on Saturday Night I’ll be up at McCann’s in St. Cloud for March Mashness, put on by the Cloudy Town Brewers.  A lot of St.Cloud homebrewers have made the trek out to Lucan to tour the brewery, and I’m looking forward to returning the favor.  Yours truly will be the guest speaker, and it’s always a blast to talk shop with homebrewers, so stop out and enjoy some of Chris’s terrific brews.

We’re doing our best to keep the brewery from floating away.  Hopefully things will dry up soon so we can begin work in the hopyard.  Remember, hop shoots should be up very soon!!

Take care, and thanks for supporting the brewery

Dustin

The Town Hall Tap
The Tap is running happy hour ALL day on their Potato Stout and Ol’Blarney Irish Red. Plus, a dinner special of good old corned beef and cabbage with a runny egg on top.

Stub and Herb’s
They’ll be showing college hoops and offering $3 on all Irish Beers and $2.50 for Schells Lite. Kill the Keg, at 8:00 tonight, will be Finnegans Irish Amber ($5 bottomless glass).

Summit Brewing Company

We’re going on our annual Summit crew pub crawl today, from Noon to 7pm. We’ll be tweeting all day our locations. If you’re lucky enough to be off work and you’re at one of the spots, be the first to find Carey from Summit and we’ll buy you a pint! If you don’t follow us yet, sign up today!

QUESTIONS? FEEL FREE TO CALL THE BAR BETWEEN 11AM – 5PM M-F.

This was originally scheduled for a few weeks back, but the folks who control our weather here did not allow that to happen. Instead we got the entire Surly crew to ourselves. Rested after a month of celebrating their 5 year anniversary, they intend to put on their drinking shoes and celebrate like they are 5 years and one month old! Here at the Triple Rock we are honored to be able to host this event and wish Surly continued success!

THERE IS NOT A COVER CHARGE FOR THE EVENT.
NO BEER TICKETS WILL BE SOLD BEFORE 6:30PM!

It’s Saturday, & You’re Doing What?

If you don’t have plans today, here are a couple suggestions.

For those who don’t mind a short road trip, Brau Bros in Lucan has a chili contest, and they are in need of a judge. Judging at 4:30, brewery tours at 4:30 and music at 7:30.

Looking for 1 more ‘female preferrably’, Chili Judge at 4 today, for our Ice House Chili Cook-off! at the Brauhaus! Any takers? Who likes chili????!!!

If you’re looking for something closer to home, stop into Pracna on Main for a free Surly on tap when you say hi at the bar 2:00-4:00.

And a reminder for everyone: Before you go to bed tonight, or maybe even before you leave the house tonight, turn those clocks ahead one hour.
