Wanna’ win a pair of tickets to the Beer Dabbler Showcase at the St. Paul Winter Carnival? Send us your best “winter beer photo by 3:00pm Friday, January 15th and we’ll pick a winner!

Rules? Sure. Send ONE photo to ryan AT mnbeer.com. One. Only one. Not two. Not four. Include your mailing address, so we know where to send the tickets. The winner will be announced after January 15th. We’ll pick the winning photo and share it on MNBeer.com.

Hints? Well the site is MNBeer.com… so the Corona you’re painfully sucking down in Jamaica in January probably won’t be our top pick. It’s Minnesota… we have a lot of great local breweries and brewpubs… be creative.

Today, Friday, FREE BEER 4 -5 pm at Pracna on Main. Get one Widmer Winterhook or Victory Abbey 6 on tap. Say hi at the bar.

Also today, Fitger’s is putting Saison Des Voyageurs, a Belgian style ale brewed with coriander and grains of paradise, on tap.

Over at Groveland Tap, their Beer Engine Feature of the Week is Surly Oak Aged Cynic Ale.

Michelle Leon at City Pages has chosen Great Waters’ St. Peter Pale Ale as Drink of the Week.

And last, but most certainly not least, The Blue Nile will be tapping Bell’s Hopslam Sunday at midnight.

Flat Earth Thursday Growlers

We’ve passed the hump and are on the downhill slide toward the weekend. Time to start thinking about what you’ll need to keep your whistle wet.

Mother Nature is stirring up a mess again for us, but I know that won’t keep you from rolling in to Flat Earth tonight and getting some fresh locally made beer.
