Despite a few all-nighters working at the Acadia Cafe, Jeff and Ted were not able to get all the work done for the inspection today. That means we need to move the two tapping down the road. Lake Superior Special Ale firkin at Hell’s Kitchen, Duluth
It’s times like these (sans this weekend’s arctic chill) that I wish I were in Duluth. Lake Superior Special Ale, a firkin, no less, and Hell’s Kitchen? I don’t think you can go wrong. Drink up, Duluth. I’ll be at home, nursing a bottle of Old Man Winter Warmer from 2005. 🙂

One firkin Lake Superior Special Ale, dry-hopped with Cascade hops. Hell’s Kitchen, Duluth. Tapped at 4pm, $3 pints until it’s gone. Tuesday January 22.

Cygnus in Bottles
Just saw that Flat Earth Brewing has recently released the Cygnus X-1 Porter in 22 ounce bottles. I got an email from Princeton Liquors that they have it (plus some other goodies), so I’m guessing others are getting it in too.

Here’s a little more information to compliment an earlier post about the only brewery in Lucan, MN. Excuse me while I consume the last bottle of Frame Straightener before Dawn gets home…
We are anxiously waiting for spring so that we can plant the hopyard, the freedom and flexibility it will afford us will be invaluable. We are planning two festivals here at the brewery to be held annually. The first will be Pheasant Opener weekend and we will release the Ring Neck Ale at the event. The second would be a spring event, possibly a “Brau Family Reunion” where for one day, anyone can be a Brau Brother, Sister, or Cousin. Any ideas for these would be appreciated. We could possibly even set up camping on site, as the nearest hotel is 25 miles away!
Let me know what you think about the Frame Straightener, the recipe for the next SBS beer is being finalized…
