We are offering an easy and tasty way to show up for Thanksgiving this year with a pre-packaged Holiday Entertainment Pack from Barley John’s Brew Pub. The pack includes:

1 Growler Fill of your choice + Growler Container (Barrel Aged Seasonals excluded)
16oz. Minnesota Artichoke Dip + Grated Parmesan Cheese garnish
2 x Ciabatta Baguettes
Keep the pack refrigerated until use, then simply bake off the Ciabatta and heat the Minnesota Artichoke dip when ready to serve. Enjoy!

To keep things simple we have included the cost of a new growler container into the price of the promotion, there will be no discounts for bringing in your own container. This pack cannot be combined with our current Growler Sale and is not subject to BBS growler discount or any other special pricing.

Rock Bottom Holiday Brewer Dinner

Rock Bottom will be holding a five course dinner. Here are all the details:

Celebrate the Holiday Season with a beer in your hand when Executive Chef Daniel Flores and Brewmaster Bryon Tonnis host Rock Bottom’s Annual Holiday Brewer’s Dinner. Featuring five courses, each paired with one of our own handcrafted beers, specially selected to bring out the subtle flavors in each dish presented.

Brewer’s Reception at 4:30 pm $50 per person (Includes tax and gratuity). Dinner from 5-8pm. Reservations are required as seating is limited. Give us a call at (612) 332-2739 for more information or to make your reservations today.

Appetizer: A selection of imported and domestic cheeses served with date puree and focaccia toast.
Paired with our Saison Des Lacs

Salad: Mesclun mix tossed with apples, peaches, candied walnuts, Gorganzola and Hazel Cranberry cheese topped off with a drizzle of passionfruit vinaigrette.
Paired with our Belgian Blonde

Soup: Roasted sweet potato and parsnip bisque lightly spiced topped with crispy root vegetables
Paired with our St Veronus Belgian Tripel

Entrée: Pan seared duck breast in a victoria plum sauce served with butternut squash risotto and grilled asparagus.
Paired with our St Veronus Cherry Tripel

Dessert: Mochaccino Cheese Cake with vanilla infusion stout cream sauce.
Paired with our Vanilla Infusion Imperial Stout

Barley John’s Update

We want first to apologize to all of you who have stopped in in recent times and found the beer you wanted out. We are finally getting caught up with our new tanks fully online and are working to prevent such beer shortages in the future. Our regular taps are back on and we have two new seasonals as well.

Smoked 8 Porter (7.0%)
Our Old 8 Porter recipe with a portion of Smoked Malt substituted. The smoke presence is balanced by the smooth chocolate and coffee overtones and malt sweetness, not an over the top Smoked Porter. Great beer to sit around our fire pit with!

Amber Ale (6.0%)
Amber in color with a strong biscuit malt presence. Hopped with Mt. Hood hops and fermented with our house yeast.

Our Pub Brewed Seasonals are now part of our BBS & Happy Hour pricing. $3.25 Mondays 4-12a, Tues – Sat 4-6p and Late Night Tues – Thurs 10p-12a. (does not include barrel aged beers and some select seasonals)

Granite City Batch 1,000 Mug Club Party

Granite City will be holding a Mug Club Party (open to all Mug Club Members and one guest), to celebrate Batch 1,000. This is a very special brew, originally made in honor of the 1,000th batch of beer brewed in their Sioux Falls Brewery.

In addition to the beer, there will be a complimentary buffet of beef stroganoff over egg noodles, Caesar salad and dinner rolls.

Town Hall Prints for Sale + Release

Hi,

Check out that picture at the top. We had famous local artist Terrence Fogarty at the Blessing of the Maibock this year and this is his finished product. We had a limited 100 of these prints made and are now selling them. The first 25 are at the brewery, so swing in and check out the original in the bar and by your piece of Town Hall history today. There is talk of a series and this is the first……(they are signed and numbered).

Beer release Monday 5-6pm, check out “Alter Ego”. This is the creation of young brewer Adam after discovering this beer style while attending brewing school in Germany. “Alter Ego” is a Stikke Alt beer, this is a special alt made by breweries once a year that is stronger in alcohol and hops. This classic beer will be added to our Thanksgiving holiday pack in place of “ODIN” on Monday….you really hit the Odin harder than I thought you would! So come in Monday and try our “Special Alt” beer and get your holiday growler pack for Turkey day.
