In case any of you are unsure about how to actually visit a brewery or how to comport yourselves while there, this helpful guide from wikihow provides some pointers.  *sigh*  One major flaw identified thus far, at least for MN visitors, is the suggestion that one buy several cases of beer if one would like to continue tasting at home.  Be sure to “exit the brewery in an orderly fashion!”

A friend who knows my love of beer handed me the most recent edition of Edible Twin Cities with the caveat, “You probably know most of the stuff in this article, but it’s still pretty interesting.” Indeed, I did, and indeed it was. Acadia Cafe is having it’s Grand Re-Opening (or is it Re-Grand Opening???) next Friday, 3/28.  Same great beers, same friendly staff, same live music, just a new location.  I’ve had a chance to stop in several times and have enjoyed all my visits….sober or otherwise.

Unless you’ve just crawled out from under some rock, you know there are plenty of St. Patty’s Day celebrations taking place this weekend. If you’re thinking a pub crawl is the way you’d like to celebrate, Finnegan’s has a few spots left on their 11 am – 3 pm Saturday, March 15th bus.
