Another Darkness post! eBay pulled the plug on 5 out of the 6 auctions for Surly Darkness. One would guess that someone complained that the auction was a violation of eBay’s terms of service and the auctions got yanked. In any case, there’s one left on eBay. If you have some extra coin that you want to throw at charity in exchange for a bottle of Darkness and a great screenprinted poster from Adam Turman, go for it. Much too rich for my blood (and I have three bottles of Darkness at my house anyway), but perhaps it’ll make someone’s day.

Did the other auctions have the disclaimer on them? I’ve seen other beers sold on Ebay but each one you are technically buying the bottle and not the beer.
I dont recall all of them having the disclaimer, but i know more then the one left had it.
The ones I looked at (like Trav said, for sure more than one) had the “this is sold due to its collectible nature… the contents are not intended for consumption” type of disclaimer. I am surprised they were not all pulled as they were very similar. As of 12:15 the last one is still up. Weird.

Wonder if the final price is super high just because it goes to charity, so because people are totally f’in crazy? darkness is damn good, but probably not 406 dollars good. well, maybe it is.
I’ve got to imagine a number of agencies (federal, state, and local) get worked up over things like this. Can you see CNN interruping normal coverage for Breaking News. Pan to an image from a chopper of an army of ATF agents shooting tear-gas into Eric’s house in a very David-Koresh-Stand-off type fashion, followed by his made dash out a back window and down an alley while chugging from a bomber. GIve it time.
Why not have a silent auction for the bottles taken off Ebay? Give the proceeds to charity.
