Help Stub & Herb’s free up a tap line with Kill the Keg Thursday night. On the chopping block: New Belgium Ranger IPA.
In what sounds like a variation on their “kill the keg” nights, this Wednesday Stub & Herb’s will be offering a $10 all you can drink beer buffet on Surly brews. 2 hours of drinking for a mere $10, now that’s the stuff, baby!
Mark Stutrud from Summit Brewing returns to the Happy Gnome on Tuesday, October 12 at 6pm. It will be a 5-course meal featuring 6 beers for $65. Call 651.287.2018 or visit http://thehappygnome.com/2010/09/summit-beer-dinner/ for reservations.
Our favorite local brewer Mark Stutrud will tell tales of the craft beer revolution in St. Paul and Summit Brewery over the last decades. Summit has received a lot of attention this year, walking away with a gold medal at the World Beer Cup for the St. Paul beer staple Extra Pale Ale. Along with the Summit classics, Summit released their Unchained Series, a different styles selected by the brewers at Summit to showcase their creativity and passion.
Join us in welcoming Summit to The Happy Gnome. A five course meal with six courses of beer for $65 all inclusive.
Autumn Brew Review is today! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone! Stop by the MNBeer tent and say hello, I imagine Eric, Kat, Greg and myself will be there at various times. My swag order got delayed until Monday, so I’ve got a few hundred stickers, etc. versus 2000 to pass out. I’ve also got limited quantities of t-shirts, but if you’re a large or a medium, I’ll have you covered… for a while.
Regardless, come say hello! And…
1. Eat a good base – don’t go to Autumn Brew Review on an empty stomach!
2. Hydrate! (Not just beer!) Drink water!
3. Pace yourself! You don’t need to drink 20 2 oz. samples of Darkness!
4. Grab your beer and step aside! If you want to talk to a brewer or hit on the girl/boy pouring boy, move off to the side to talk. Also, please don’t gather with your silly drunk friends two feet back from the table and drink in a little circle. Step away!
5. Don’t drive. Period. “I’m fine.” Uh, no, trust me, you’re not. “Yesh Iss am.” Ugh.
Hello, Beerly Beloved –
Chris here. I have a bunch of stuff to share, so after this sentence, I’m going to drop the conversational acrobatics and get right to it:
NEWS:
* Welcome Molly Moran! Molly is our first “new guy” and hopefully she won’t freak out when she realizes how crazy we are. Molly will be picking up the slack in Madison and Milwaukee – driving sales, doing events and keeping our customers happy and informed. Molly was the beer buyer at Steve’s on University (Madison) and was the front-of-house manager at a fine-dining joint in D.C. (Washington, that is), where she was responsible for creating the beer “program” – building a beer menu and suggesting food pairings. She’s smart, capable and experienced, and she’s going to make it possible for us to focus on getting a facility built in Spring Green. If you see her around, please be on your best behavior and make her feel welcome.
