Granite City will be rolling out their McK’s Scottish Ale with a Mug Club Party. Open to members (and one guest per member), their will be a complimentary appetizer buffet of brats, baked beans and chips.
That’s right, not only is the 1st the start of the new year, but since it’s also Friday that means there will be a new firkin at Grumpy’s NE. They’ll be tapping Surly Oak-Aged Bender at 4:00 pm. Plenty of time to recovery from that hangover.

I haven’t seen it yet, but Minneapolis/St. Paul was featured in an article in Imbibe Magazine about five up-and-coming beer scenes. Minneapolis/St. Paul is joined by Portland, Maine, Reno Nevada, Atlanta, Georgia and Austin, Texas. I’m looking forward to checking it out when I get a chance.
