Three Imperial Stouts on tap at Blue Nile tonight

Al puts it best:

Hey Gang,
Friday, I’m getting a keg of Expedition Stout, …and Darkness is still on, …and there’s that keg of Old Rasputin  that’s been waiting in the cooler for it’s turn on tap. So, what the hell, one night only, I’m going to have all three on tap at once, …have a flight, or a vertical, or a blindfold taste test, whatever you want to do.The Expediton and Ol’ Rasp, if they aren’t killed that night, will go back on later, but they will only all three be on tap together Friday. They are temporarily taking over the Summit annd Rush River spots. Time: whenever. The rb goes are coming at 6:30, but if anyone shows up for it at, say, 4:15, I’ll tap ’em then.

See ya,
cheers,
al

Thanks for the great beer, Al! Although it was my first visit to Blue Nile it certainly won’t be my last.

What kind of wife goes out to drink good beer without her husband? Does loyalty mean nothing to you?

  5. What kind of nerd would rather stay home to play DND than have drinks with his wife and friends?

Anyway, bummer you had prior plans. I think you would have enjoyed the beer selection.

Darkness is nearly done…Expedition will replace it.
When the Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence is done, time for Surly Smoke.
Once Kasteel Rouge kicks, I haven’t decided…either N’Ice Chouffe, Delirium Noel, or Dupont Avec les Bon Veoux.
When the Witkap Pater Tripel empties…Old Rasputin time, again.

    there’s your heads up, gang!

I can’t say I’ll help with the Chocolate Indulgence. Had it at the Gnome the other night and though it was horrid. Really sour and super thin.

  9. al says:

It’s not sour out of my tap, all I’m sayin’…people are lovin’ it here!

  10. Ben says:

There’s was sour to the point of being almost undrinkable and it was thin as water. Strange. Maybe I’ll have to sample it at the Nile.

Dawn had it at the Gnome Thanksgiving weekend and didn’t care for it, either. I tasted it and didn’t notice anything sour at that time, but who knows?

  12. Ben says:

This was sour like lots of brett was used.

  13. I had Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence at The Muddy Pig and thoroughly enjoyed it.
