Congratulations to Flat Earth for taking the People’s Choice title with their Sunburst Apricot Ale at the Saint Paul Summer Beer Fest yesterday! It was a beautiful day and a great festival. If you couldn’t attend I hope you were somewhere else enjoying good beer with good friends.

WOOT Flat Earth – grats! The fest was a ton of fun, and it was a perfect day to kick off an event I’ll now be attending every year. I even drank a little Minnesota Tan to go with my new Minnesota Tan.
Whoa, talk about a tan…Irish and Norwegian is a bad combo. I know I burn easily but Im just too stupid to put on sunblock. Thanks to the guy who lent me his…much appreciated. Should have puts some on my face though…it hurts to blink. Great festival, I had a blast! Way to go Flat Earth, I like apricots!!!
What? I wasn’t the only idiot to pull the typical Minnesotan move of not bothering to take any sun-protection precautions? My head looks like a tomato. Hell, I even elicited a wince from an executive I met for the first time today at work. One look at me and his faced scrunched up in pain. Way to make a first impression. Sheesh. Good time, though.
Hopefully the event organizers will add a few tents for the burnable types like Mag and Duke to hide under.
Somewhere to hide from the sun would have been nice.
