Stop by Rock Bottom Wednesday, August 13 at 6:00 pm for the tapping of their Catcher in the Rye Pale Ale.
For all you baseball fans, Minnesota Twin’s catcher Mike Redmond will be on hand to help brewer Byron Tonnis pour the first pints and will stick around to sign autographs until 7:00.
In case you’re wondering about the beer, Catcher in the Rye is made with 20% flaked rye and designed to start out smooth and malty yet finish with the hops an American Pale Ale should.
Greetings,
We will be officially releasing Ovni Ale at Acadia Café (329 Cedar Ave. S. in Minneapolis) on Wednesday the 6th from 6 – 9 p.m. They’ll have special pricing on our biere de garde and other Flat Earth beers. We’ll be heading down to give away some swag and have a few pints. See you there!
Also look for Convention Ale to hit stores this week. We created a special beer for the upcoming conventions. We took a little from column A and some from column B and something from off the chart to make this Belgian Red ale. So, vote early and drink often!
We’ll be at the Great Taste of the Midwest in Madison, WI on the 9th and we’re bringing Cygnus X-1, Bermuda Triangle, Black Helicopter, Rode Haring, Element 115 and a double dry hoped Angry Planet for the cask tent. Stop by and say “Hi” if you’ve managed to score tickets.
Black Earth will be available at the Renfest this year. Created at last year’s festival, it is a mix of Guinness and Belgian Pale Ale. The Renaissance Festival starts on the 16th and runs every weekend through the end of September. Belgian pale ale will be available at The Foaming Stein, Royal, King’s Pub and near the Blue Lion Tent.
We will be doing a special beer tasting at the Renfest on the 23 & 24th during the Highland Fling weekend.
Tickets go on sale for Autumn Beer Review on the 15th (www.mncraftbrew.org/abr/)
Our brewery tour this month will be held on Saturday August 30th at 4 p.m.
Growlers sales every Thursday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Cheers!

Hey all,
Just a reminder to our Sunday/Monday regulars, we will be closed on August 3rd and 4th for Town Hall’s summer outing.
We will keep normal hours Tuesday August 5th, although our servers may be a bit slow.
Older employees may take a few days to get back to normal, please be patient. Please pray for all employee’s safety and management’s sanity.
Also, don’t forget the Bocce Tourney and Pig Roast Saturday August 16th. Please come and cheer on all teams not the Corner Bar or Bullwinkles.
Cheers,

If you’re a K-12 teacher and have thought about giving brewing a try get on over to Vine Park. During the month of August Vine Park is offering a 20% discount for all beers and wines brewed. Remember to play nice and don’t abuse this offer by asking them to apply this to an entire group.
For the Belgian beer lovers out there Vine Park is offering the opportunity to brew some famous Belgian beer styles for a limited time. In addition to bringing back some favorites there are also some new recipes. Check out their website for all the details.
Finally, check out the home brewing competition Sunday, July 27th at the Glockenspiel. In addition to the contest there will be beer sampling, a strolling accordion player, outdoor grilling and Vine Park beers featured on tap.
