Head over to Summit on Friday, June 18th from 6:00-8:30 for the Art of Friendship Silent Auction & Fundraiser. The event is $10 in advanced or $15 at the door .
The Highland Friendship Club (HFC) is a St Paul based non-profit which helps young adults with disabilities make friends, learn new skills and have fun. Purchase a beautiful piece of original art made by a HFC member or a local artist, drink one of Summit’s gold medal beers and help HFC raise money to support our summer activities and scholarships for HFC members. Call Mary at 651-278-5732 to purchase advance tickets to the event or email her at mary@highlandfriendshipclub.org. Yesterday, the Town Hall Brewery closed on a property on the 48th block of Chicago Avenue South. We plan to open a second location there sometime this fall.
Not that it will do you any good at this point, but Vine Park celebrated their fastest-selling growler batch ever with their Cuvee de Beertrips which just sold out. Those of you attending the AHA National Conference may still be in luck as they’ve saved a keg for the event. VP describes this beer as a “boundary bending style of Belgian malts and yeast combined with Czech hops overlaid with American hops…”
Vine Park also rolled out a new beer this week, 100% EVIL IPA. “A full bodied American West Coast style India Pale Ale that is brewed with 100% Centennial hops from beginning to end. No little bit of this or a little bit of that, this beer is 100% Evil. Nothing good about it but the taste.”
This beer is available in growlers and the Vine Park crew will also sample it at St. Paul Summer Beer Festival. It will also be added to the recipe list available to Vine Park customers to brew their own batch.
