Blessing of the Maibock (Photo: Town Hall’s Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/townhallbrewery)

It’s Maibock season and Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery likes to do things right… Once again, they’ve invited Episcopal priest, Father Aron Kramer (Vicar at St. Andrew’s By the Lake) to will perform a short blessing over the beer at each Town Hall location.

Join the celebration at the Town Hall Tap at 3 PM or Town Hall Lanes at 4 PM. Attendees will get one free Maibock and happy hour pricing. The festivities at the Brewery start at 5 PM and include a blessing of the brewery and free Maibock until 6 PM. German food will also be available for your belly-filling pleasure.
Town Hall will also celebrate that other rite of spring, The Kentucky Derby, on May 3rd, as the Maibock ceremonies will be over before the 5:24 post time and the televisions will be tuned in.

Fulton Maitrise IFA Launch Saturday

Funnamed(5)ulton is releasing another Garage Series beer in their taproom on Saturday at noon. You’ll also find this limited release on draft at various locations.

Maitrise (“May-treese”; translates from French as “expertise” or “mastery”) is a “new world imperial farmhouse ale” created from a blend of American and German wheat and barley malts,  Nelson Sauvin hops and French saison yeast. The beer weighs in at a surprising 9.5% ABV and 80 IBU. “Brilliant with tropical fruit, yet balanced with a tart palate that finishes soft and dry.”

Taproom launch Saturday at noon – $5/12 oz pour; $18 growlers. As with all Garage Series releases, it will only be around for a short time.
