Muddy Pig… Minneapolis

TwinCities.com reports today that The Muddy Pig will be expanding into Edina Minneapolis in July with Pig & Fiddle, occupying part of the old Pearson’s Edina Family Restaurant, near 50th and France. It’s a cool old space and will suit the Pig quite well! I, for one, am looking forward to it. Now if only Edina could do something about its ban on happy hours

Thanks for reader Nancy for the tip. According to a City of Edina map, Pearson’s Edina confusingly was not in Edina, but in Minneapolis. Perhaps there’s a little history here or city lines have shifted over the decades? WHo knows?

St. Paul: Get Stone(d) at the Ale Jail, Bulldog & Groveland Tap

Crazy busy week but we’ll be posting Stone reminders as time allows. Here’s a link to the complete list of visits from the folks from Stone on the brewery’s website.

Ale Jail & Groveland Tap:
New info for all of you “Stone”ers out there. On Tuesday, March 29th we will have all Stone products open for tasting and available for purchase. You may then take your bottle, 4pk, 6pk, over to the Groveland Tap and get it signed by Greg Koch. First come, first serve so get here and get over there quickly. Tasting will start at 5pm. Hang out have a few samples, buy your beer and off to Groveland Tap where Greg will be available from 7:30 to 8:30pm. Cheers!

Arrogant Bastard Ale, Stone IPA, Stone Smoked Porter, Stone Levitation Ale, Stone Ruination IPA, Stone 14th Anniversary Emperial IPA, Stone cask to be announced!

Bulldog Lowertown:

Patio Opener at Moto-i

Weather, be damned! The calendar says it is Spring and Moto-i is on board with the plan.

Thursday March 31: the moto-i patio opens. For real. We’re pouring $1 taps & spinning tunes from 2:20-7pm, extending happy hour & calling for the melting of that dirty snow!

Tell your friends, ride your bikes over, shrug off your coats. Spring is a state of mind.
