Changes at Thomas, FFF Beer Tasting

St. Paul beer (and wine) haunt Thomas Liquors has made some improvements to their website, complete with section updates, events and tastings and recent arrivals. It’s still a work-in-progress, so check back often!

Thomas is also announcing Fitty’s First Fridays (Ha! You thought it was Three Floyds, didn’t you?!), when the first Friday of every month beer manager Joe “Fitty” Fitzpatrick takes over the tasting bar from 4-7pm for a night of craft brew. This week he’ll be cracking open some Unibroue beers, some of the best craft beers to come ooot of Canada, eh.

Vine Park Brews Cruise

Doesn’t drinking as you float down the river sound like a lovely way to spend an evening? Vine Park has announced the date for their Brews Cruise and tickets, only 160 of them, are now on sale.

Come cruise with all your favorites from Vine Park like Big Stinger Honey Wheat, Tornado Alley Alt, Capital Hill Pilsner, and maybe a surprise new brew! Enjoy these and a dinner of BBQ Chicken, Penne Pasta salad with grilled vegetables, Caesar Salad, fresh veggie trays, and lots of cookies & bars. And a free VPBC logo pint glass!

Our annual Brews Cruise departs at 5:30pm promptly on Saturday, August 7th from Harriet Island across the Wabasha Bridge from downtown St Paul. It will be 3 hours of fun, food, and beer enjoyed with friends. Both the ones you come with and the ones you meet there.

We are limiting ticket sales to 160 on a first come basis.

Price: $65.00 per person if you buy before the Fourth of July.
75.00 per person on tickets sold July 5th on.

Tickets cover your cruise, Vine Park beverages, Pint Glass, and Food. All passengers must have a ticket to board. If you wish beverages other then our beers & root beer, the Paddleford Company operates a cash bar on board.

Abominable Release @Town Hall

I wish I could give you the back story on the name of the beer but I’m not that much in the know. All I can guess is that some of you might think it’s abominable to release a porter in June. Well, if that’s the case, all the more for me and the rest of the porter and coffee lovers out there.

Hey All,

Hope your weekend was grand, now you are all back at work and in need of a beer! We teamed up with Peace Coffee (the roasters just down the road) and made another coffee beer. You say Coffee Porter in June…?? Well, ever had an iced coffee in the summer?

We used the Yeti Cold Press Blend from Peace Coffee this time and are happy with the results. Swing in and get some today. Wednesday is “pick a pint”, that means all of our regular priced house made pints are just $2.50 from 5-6pm. Wow, that is cheap for quality craft beer….we do what we can for you guys-

Cheers
Mike
