Fulton Growler Sales

November 18th marks the date of Fulton’s first growler sale. Mark your calendar. That weekend, they’ll be open from 4-7 on Friday and 12-5 on Saturday. Needless to say, you can also enjoy some samples, check out the brewery and buy some gear. They’ll have Sweet Child of Vine, Lonely Blonde and a limited amount of The Libertine. The first two are $13 for the fill and $18 for The Libertine. Growler deposit will set you back another $5.

They will also be open on Wednesday, 11/23 from 4-7, for your holiday beer needs.

Cheers, and congrats, guys!

Darkness Day

So a shit-ton of people walk into an industrial park in Brooklyn and…

Surely there’s a joke in there, somewhere. In any case, Oct. 22nd is your chance to join a frenzied horde of thirsty zombies outside the Surly brewery at an ungodly hour to get your hands on Darkness, their Russian Imperial Stout. The actual event runs from 11am-5pm, but you can guess that the lines will be far too long if you don’t show up a little early. How early? Your call. Some folks have been known to camp out the night before.

Details: Darkness will set you back $18 for a 750ml bottle. Folks waiting in line will (potentially) get a wristband that will allow them to purchase up to six bottles. Without a band, you can purchase up to four bottles starting at 4pm, assuming there’s any left. Bring cash, cuz Surly doesn’t accept brains… or plastic… or checks.

Wanna’ buy a beer? Tokens are $4 for a 12 oz. pour. Volunteers will be pouring beer in the trailer and tap room.

Food? Check. The Chef Shack, Play Ball Catering, Natedogs and Potter’s Pasties and Pies

Bands: – God Came From Space, Guzzlemug, Droids Attack, Ambassador Gun

Release of Harvestor Ale from Lift Bridge

The Mad Capper Saloon and Eatery will be hosting a release party for, The Harvestor Fresh Hop Ale from Lift Bridge Brewing, Saturday October 8th, 5-8pm.

On September 16, 100+ people gathered at Lift Bridge for their event, Pickin’ and Grinnin’, picking hop cones from 300 lbs of hop bine.

Brewing: We will be brewing our annual “Harvestor” fresh hop ale at the event and the fresh hops you pick will go right into the beer. This beer will then ferment and age for 3-4 weeks before release, at which time you can raise a glass and proudly proclaim that you did that.

The beer is now ready for consumption and full of hop deliciousness!
