Town Hall in St. Paul?

There’s a lot of “news” out there but this I think actually qualifies as the real deal.

According to the Pioneer Press:

Peter Rifakes says he’s looking for a space in Minnesota’s capital city to open another Town Hall Brewery. Like his restaurant on Washington Avenue near the University of Minnesota, the downtown St. Paul location would feature a large selection of house-made beers and a menu of burgers, fish and chips, pasta and steak.

“I love St. Paul and the vibe downtown,” says Rifakes. “There’s a lot going on between the Wild (hockey) and more people living in the area.”

Huzzah – Website Updates

We’d previously made mention that Great Waters’ website was given a facelift (well, a complete overhaul actually), thanks to Jeff. Now it appears as though the beer list is being updated with some regularity. Huzzah!!!

Those of you on Brau Bros. e-mail distribution also saw a note from Dustin promising that their site redevelopment was moving along. Huzzah!!!

And Al, how long has Blue Nile been doing the Google slide-show on beer? No matter…Huzzah!!!

Edit: Oh yeah, I fixed our link to The Herkimer from our Brewpubs tab too! Huzzah!!!

Not a “meaty” post, but at least it was enthusiastic. Huzzah!!!

Twisted Reality Barleywine Release at Town Hall

I stopped into Town Hall on Friday with friends and had an excellent night – I thought Batch 1000 was heartily hopped and flavorful and also enjoyed a few sips of Winterberry. Good times, good people, great service! Anyway, I noticed that they were tapping Twisted Reality today but promptly forgot. Thankfully Mike came through with a reminder…

Hi,
You took care of most of the Batch 1000. Today we will release Twisted Reality Barleywine. The current batch is a 9.9% abv American Barley Wine. Release at 5pm. Yes, we will have growlers.

Humpty Dumpty (John) in the kitchen had a great fall…….his injury will mean NO SMALL PLATE TODAY- You have received them very well and they will return next release….sorry. (John will be OK.)

Tomorrow Night (Tuesday)
We will have a Reps here from the Lion Brewery (Sri Lanka) serving the famed Lion Stout and the limited Lion Imperial Lager and Chisago Lakes Dist. serving the bold Double Kilt Lifter from Moylan’s Brewery in California. These are very nice beers that you can sample tomorrow night only for just $3 per pour. We also will have some logo glassware from those breweries that you can take home with you. This is from 6:30-9:30pm 3/3- try and stop by for a great opportunity to try these wonderful beers and at very little cost!

Cheers,
Mike
