Fitger’s 750s

Fitger’s continues to throw the gauntlet down (what ever the hell that means, but it seemed appropriate). In addition to their regular weekly releases–Champagne of the North, Brewhouse Pub Ale, and Blueberry Lager, it’s time for a couple more 750ml releases. Their bourbon barrel Imperial Stout is quite bourbon-y, and the Framboise sounds pretty incredible, with a 17 year old lambic added to the fermentation! Get up north and get yours!

Throwing down the gauntlet is the equivelant of throwing you gloves to the ice in Hockey.
Good timing on this release since I will be staying at Fitgers next weekend.

You can stay at Fitgers? What just cozy up next to one of the fermenters…preferably one with El Nino in it 😉

Duke – Fitger’s has Duluth’s only 4 Diamond hotel. We really need to do more than sit in Fitger’s when we’re up in Duluth. Did you know they have pretty big lake too?

So I guess the gauntlet phrase is appropriate. I’d love to see more Minnesota breweries taking advantage of the law and selling 750s right from their brewery/brew pub. Of course Surly does (or did), Flat Earth has entered the game as well with their Red Herring and porter series. This is a great way to buy beers for cellaring.

Lake, what lake? I know they have burritos and the best beer anywhere in the entire f@#king world…have yet to see any lake though.
