Is there smoke in the air? Or do brewing minds just think alike? Anyway, another release this week that brings images of flames to mind.
Be at Rock Bottom by 6:00 pm for the tapping of Fire Chief Scotch Ale and the first pint is on the house.

The next seasonal release for Granite City will be their Burning Barn Irish Red and they’ll be rolling it out on Sunday with a Mug Club Party.
As with all Mug Club Parties, there is no cover charge, it’s open to all Mug Club members (and one guest) and there will be a complimentary appetizer buffet featuring corned beef and cabbage, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad and rolls.
Not a member yet? Donate $5 to their Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of MN Fundraiser that day and a free membership is yours.
The February winners have been announced in Summit’s “Get to the Bottom of It” contest and congrats to out to:

If we lived in a world without bad beer, how would we know what good beer was?
Joe Thiel, Fridley – Runner-up
Why aren’t toasters clear so you can see when your bread is burning?
No, we’re not pandering for your votes (though we’ll take ’em)… we’ve won two awards in our four year history and think it’s better to share, BUT we still think you should get out the vote and make sure your favorites are represented. Get out and vote for your favorite food and beer folks. Here are just some of the categories to attack… favorite local blog, favorite local website, best place for a first date, best State Fair food [I’m suggesting Summit on a stick], best Tweeter, best liquor store, best happy hour, best neighborhood bar and… uh, best Irish bar. For the latter, I’m suggesting you vote for your brewpub of choice. Cheers!
Does that name ring a bell? Just a little tinkle? He’s the artist behind some of Surly’s artwork, most recently, Four (if the words aren’t doin’ it for ‘ya, click here for a visual reminder).
Adam is having a solo show at FrameUps Gallery and in addition to checking out the work he’s done beyond Surly, there will be free Furious and apps from Pizza Luce.
