Wednesday’s Surly Two tapping changed

Despite a few all-nighters working at the Acadia Cafe, Jeff and Ted were not able to get all the work done for the inspection today. That means we need to move the two tapping down the road. To the Blue Nile! See you tomorrow night around 6:00.FYI, two is our second anniversary ale. Todd brewed this dark ale with 40 pounds of cranberries per barrel. The Acadia event will be rescheduled and they will be tapping their 1/4 barrel of Darkness 2006 at that point.See you drinking,Omar

MNBeer.com survey

Hey! We’re gathering some extremely exciting (riiiight…) demographic information for MNBeer.com to help us woo a few new advertisers. So… if you can fill out this short survey, we’d really appreciate it. If you leave your e-mail address and t-shirt size, we’ll put you in a drawing for one of our swell MNBeer.com t-shirts.  Of course, for your privacy, you’re certainly not required to do so…

As always, we’re not jerks and won’t share, sell, lend or rent your personal data to anyone else. E-mail address (and t-shirt size!) will be stripped from our statistical data.

Make sense?

Take our survey!

Winterfest teaser no. 1… Fitger’s line-up

Fitger’s BrewhouseIt must be greater Minnesota day here at MNBeer… I’m sipping a bit of McCann’s Prairie Porter and just remembered that Dave sent me Fitger’s list of beers for Winterfest. Here they are… there might be a surprise as well, but we’re not telling. They all sound good, though I’ll confess that I’m looking forward to wheat wine and the Blue Label Grand Reserve as I like the wine-barrel aged beers more than bourbon.

The list is below the fold… later this week we’ll share McCann’s offerings…

Lake Superior Special Ale firkin at Hell’s Kitchen, Duluth

It’s times like these (sans this weekend’s arctic chill) that I wish I were in Duluth. Lake Superior Special Ale, a firkin, no less, and Hell’s Kitchen? I don’t think you can go wrong. Drink up, Duluth. I’ll be at home, nursing a bottle of Old Man Winter Warmer from 2005. 🙂

The details:

One firkin Lake Superior Special Ale, dry-hopped with Cascade hops. Hell’s Kitchen, Duluth. Tapped at 4pm, $3 pints until it’s gone. Tuesday January 22.

Beer of the Week at Buster’s

Have you tried the Surly Mild yet? I have to admit that I haven’t however I have a good excuse having been out of town for work for most of last week. That being said I have no excuse now and an extra incentive as this is the Beer of the Week over at Buster’s on 28th. If my memory serves me correctly that means $4 pints.
