Indeed Burr Grinder Coffee Ale Release

burr grinder

As a coffee nerd and a beer nerd, this is one I’ve been waiting for for a bit. It’s no surprise that I like Indeed’s beer and when I heard that they were collaborating with Dogwood Coffee I knew I had to try this beer. If you’re not familiar, Dogwood is extremely well-received by local coffee geeks. You’ll have your chance to check out this brew next week at  Victory 44 on  Tuesday, March 5th starting at 5pm. According to indeed, they steeped 90-pounds of Guatemalan Finca Rosma coffee in the brew kettle before topping off the finished beer with 54-gallons of cold press.

I’ve consumed my fair share of Guatemalan coffee as of late and my mouth waters thinking about this one. Can’t wait to try it.

Indeed Brewing/ Northbound Smokhouse Collaboration Beer Release

Indeed/Northbound Hot Box

The collaborative beer is the is like the split 7″ of the punk rock world. That being said, perhaps I need to play my copy of the split from The Strike and Dillinger Four while I sample this particular beer.

Indeed Brewing Co. and Northbound Smokehouse have collaborated on a beer aptly named Hot Box, an Imperial Smoked Pepper Porter. Say that five times fast while listening to jam bands in the brewhouse! The recipe was designed by Smokehouse brewer and owner Jamie Robinson and Indeed head brewer Josh Bischoff and brewed at Indeed with malt and peppers smoked at Northbound.

You can get your hands on some starting at 3pm today (Monday) at Northbound Smokehouse or Thursday at Indeed. Limited bottles will be available for sale at Indeed as well.

New Indeed Beers for Changing Seasons

Summer seems to be dwindling (though you wouldn’t know it by today’s weather) and with that, the fine folks at Indeed Brewing Co. announce some new upcoming beers. Sounds interesting. I’m looking forward to checking them out!

First up, in celebration of the harvest we will release our Fresh Hop ale in our taproom on Thursday, September 20. Brewed with 150 pounds wet Centennial hops harvested just the day before in Washington’s Yakima Valley, this sessionable pale ale was brewed with 100% Irish Stout Malt.

Coming in October will be our Sweet Potato Ale brewed in the unique American craft beer tradition of Pumpkin Beers. Look for this beer on a nitrogen pour in our taproom and on draft at local bars and restaurants. In addition we will release very limited and experimental double black ale, Haywire, that we brewed using insane amounts of hops.

Finally when mercury really starts to drop we will release our winter seasonal, Stir Crazy, a winter warmer brewed with brown sugar and raisins.

And if you are absolutely unwilling to let the summer go, we will release one fruit-infused Shenanigan’s Summer Ale per taproom day. Each keg has been infused with one of the following fruits: peaches, sweet cherry, blackberry and blueberry.
