Whoops. Mike and I both got so excited about this story that we posted it at the same time. Mmm, beer. Here’s a link to our combined post. Sorry about that!
The details as found on the August Schell website:
October 13th, 11:00-5:00pm
Schell’s Brewery, New Ulm, MN
Bavarian tent with great Oktoberfest atmosphere! Dancing, singing, food, and beer!
Live music: 11:00-1:00pm: Schell’s Hobo Band; 1:30-5:00: Alpensterne
Come down and experience Oktoberfest the way it should be!
A friend shared this with me today and it was too cool to not pass on.
From the artist’s website:
I recently completed this very large pencil drawing highlighting 8 great craft brewers in Minnesota. Pete Rifakes of Town Hall Brewery in Minneapolis was the man behind the idea. He allowed me to create a drawing that might be the first of its kind in Minnesota. (maybe the free world!)
Thanks to all of the craft brewers who participated. It was fun to travel the state and meet everyone. In no particular order, here are the breweries that participated; Town Hall Brewery-Minneapolis, Summit Brewing-St. Paul, Fulton Brewery-Minneapolis, Surly Brewing Company-Brooklyn Center, Schell’s Brewery-New Ulm, Fitger’s Brewhouse-Duluth, Steel Toe Brewing-St. Louis Park and last but not least, Lift Bridge Brewing of Stillwater.
Rumor has it that the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild will have the original drawing displayed as part of their State Fair exhibit this year. Look for the display in the Ag/Hort Building.
