MA Rosko from Fox 9 visited Surly Brewing Co. to talk about Darkness. Click here to see the video. It doesn’t show it in the video, but hopefully she got to drink a little Darkness. Nothing like a little imperial stout to start the morning!

LEARN TO HOMEBREW- FOR FREE!
Come celebrate National TEACH-A-FRIEND-TO-HOMEBREW DAY with the Minnesota Homebrewers Association.
This rain-or-shine open-house-style event will feature free hands-on brewing demonstrations, fabulous door prizes (courtesy of Northern Brewer, Midwest Supplies, and Brew & Grow-walk away with everything you need for your first batch!), a chance to ask questions of seasoned homebrewers, and of course, Barley John’s delicious hand-crafted beers and food!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 1st, then grab a friend and come to Barley John’s Brewpub and see why homebrewing is your new favorite hobby! This event is sponsored by the Minnesota Homebrewers Association. Please check mnbrewers.com for details.

Thanks to Chip (Brewhound) for sharing his photos. More photos & video can be found here. This year’s artwork comes from Nic Skrade at Uptown Tattoo. More Darkness Day info below the fold.

Of you can’t make that event, or didn’t get your fill on Wednesday, head over to Buster’s on 28th on Thursday Oct. 23rd at 6:00pm. They’ll be pouring IPA, Pile (this event only), Pale Ale (this event…), Censored Ale (this…), Sonoma Farmouse Ale (th…) and bombers/bottles of Maximus, Imperial Red and Cappuccino Stout.
