The first batch of the new Schell Bock will be brewed this week. Schell Bock will be a limited release available Feb 2, 2009. Brewed with 10 different malts and a proprietary German yeast strain, Schell Bock will weigh in at 16 Plato and 24 IBUs.

  1. Trav says:

For some reason, Schmaltz Alt never left the shelves since last year in Hudson and Cellars in woodbury. Not overally fresh at this point though. Im guessing the Bock is different then the Carmel Bock? Will it be bottled ?

  2. David Berg says:

Hey Trav- Yes Schell Bock is different, and yes it will be bottled. By the way, Stout is also coming out in 12 packs.

  3. Trav says:

    Sounds great!

  4. Duke says:

So does that mean the Caramel Bock is dead?

  5. Kris says:

Yippee! Schmaltz Alt is one of my favorites of theirs.

  6. David Berg says:

Caramel Bock has been gone for almost a year. It will still be served at Bock Fest.

  7. Trav says:

I thought they just moved carmel bock to a seasonal? Better get that web site changed!
